Data protection principles pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR

We, WISAG Food Life GmbH & Co KG, welcome your visit our website and thank you for your interest in our company and our products. The protection of your privacy when using our website is important to us. The aim of the following data protection principles is to inform you about how we handle the collection, processing and use of personal data.

1. Data controller as defined by Art. 4 (7) GDPR

WISAG Dienstleistungsholding GmbH
Herriotstraße 3

2. Contact form/email contact/phone

Purpose of the data processing/legal basis: We will of course treat confidentially any personal information that you provide to us when filling out contact forms or by telephone or email. We use your data exclusively for the purpose of processing your request. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest in this case lies in our interest in responding to enquiries from visitors to this website.

Recipients/categories of recipients: We do not generally pass the data on to third parties. In certain exceptional circumstances, data is processed by data processors on our behalf. These are each carefully selected, are also audited by us and are contractually bound under Art. 28 GDPR. It may also be necessary for us to pass on extracts from your enquiry to contractual partners (for the purpose of processing your enquiry). In these cases, however, the request is first anonymised so that the third party cannot trace the information back to you. If it is necessary to disclose your personal information in individual cases, we will inform you of this in advance and obtain your consent.

Storage duration/criteria for determining the storage duration: We will delete or securely anonymise all personal data that you send us in response to requests (e.g. suggestions, praise or criticism) via this website or by email no later than 90 days after the final reply to you. The retention period of 90 days is justified in that you may occasionally contact us again on the same matter after you receive a reply, in which case we need to be able to refer to the previous correspondence. Experience has shown that we do not generally receive queries about our answers after 90 days.

3. Consent to receive product information and newsletters by email

You can request our Streusel Bar newsletter via this website. The legal basis for data processing in the context of sending newsletters is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The purpose of data processing in the context of requests for the newsletter is to inform newsletter subscribers about our offers. After submitting the newsletter order form, you will receive an email from us with a confirmation link (double opt-in procedure). If you click the link contained in the email within seven days, you will be registered to receive the newsletter.

By confirming your registration, you confirm your consent to the processing of your data for the purposes stated in the declaration of consent. Unfortunately, we cannot send you any newsletters without consent or activation of the confirmation link.

If you register for the free Streusel Bar newsletter, you agree that we may process your email address in order to send you product information and the newsletter by email and to inform you in this newsletter about offers, services and the company development of WISAG Food Life GmbH & Co KG. If you voluntarily provide further optional personal information (title, first name, surname) during registration, you agree that we may use this data to insert a personal salutation into your newsletter.

You can revoke your consent to receive product information and the newsletter at any time with future effect by clicking on the corresponding unsubscribe link in one of the newsletters or by sending an email to You will then no longer receive any newsletters. You can also change or delete optional items of information individually at any time. You will find the link to this in the lower part of the newsletter. The voluntary additional information will then be directly deleted or amended in line with your input.

The data collected within the framework of the newsletter order is only accessible by the department within the WISAG Group that is responsible for processing and managing the newsletter dispatch. If data processors are used for carrying out the newsletter dispatch, they are under contractual obligations pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR and have been verified accordingly that they have in place suitable organisational and technical security measures.

If you withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter, the data will be blocked immediately and then deleted. As a result, you will not receive any more newsletters.

4. Competitions

Purpose of the data processing/legal basis: You can take part in a range of competitions on our website that are accessed via our newsletter. Unless otherwise specified in the specific data protection principles of the respective competition or unless you have given us further express consent, the personal data you provide us with in the course of participating in the competition will be used exclusively for the purpose of running the competition (establishing the winner, notifying the winner, sending the prize). If applicable, the winners will be announced anonymously on our Streusel Bar website (e.g. “The winner was Peter L. from Munich”). The legal basis for data processing in the context of competitions in which you take part is always Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you provide a more far-reaching declaration of consent in the context of a competition, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR is the legal basis for the data processing based on the consent. If you have given your consent in the course of a competition, you can revoke this consent at any time with future effect. In these cases, further details are regulated in the specific data protection principles of the competition in question.

Recipients/categories of recipients: The data collected in the context of competitions is generally only accessible to the department responsible for the Streusel Bar. The data will only be passed to third parties if this is absolutely necessary for the execution of the competition or the sending of the prize (e.g. prize shipment by the sponsor of a competition) or if you have given us your express consent to do so.

Storage duration/criteria for determining the storage duration: The participants’ data will be deleted after the end of the competition and the announcement of the winners. In the case of non-cash prizes, the winners’ data will be stored for two years after the winners have been announced in order to be able to process the prize as necessary.

5. Online surveys

No personal or personally identifiable data is collected without your consent in the context of online surveys. Your answers will be treated anonymously and confidentially. All applicable data protection regulations will be complied with and your data will not be used for advertising or marketing purposes.

If you give your consent, we will store this information to process your request. We will naturally treat your data confidentially and use it exclusively for the purpose of processing your enquiry.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR: As already mentioned, no personal data is collected in online surveys; however, we will obtain your consent should this happen in individual cases.

Storage duration: The storage duration of surveys depends on the individual case. If the survey is conducted on a personal basis, we will inform you of the specific duration in the respective declaration of consent.

6. Use of cookies

What are termed “cookies” are used on this website. Cookies are small text files that are sent from our web server to your end device (PC, notebook, smartphone or tablet) when you visit this website and are stored there in the Internet browser you use. The cookies used can fulfil various functions. The following subsections provide information about the individual purposes of the various cookies that can be used.

You can set your browser to notify you when cookies are placed. This provides you with transparency about the use of cookies. In addition, you can configure your browser so that it does not accept cookies at all or only rejects cookies from individual providers. However, please note that this may impair the functionality of this website.

6.1 Web tracking using Google Analytics

We evaluate information that is generated during your use of our Internet pages (page from which the file was requested, the name of the file, the date and time of the request, the amount of data transferred, the access status such as “file transferred”, “file not found” etc., a description of the type of web browser used and an anonymised IP address – shortened by the last three digits) using Google Analytics. Google Inc., commissioned by us for this purpose, sets a permanent cookie in your Internet browser to create a pseudonymised user profile. This permanent cookie enables your browser to be recognised the next time you visit this website. This enables user navigation, statistical evaluations, adaptation of our Internet pages to your needs and prevention of irregular queries to our web site.

Legal basis for data processing: The data collected via the Google Analytics technology is not used to personally identify visitors to this website. The usage data stored in the cookie is also not merged with personal data about the holder of the pseudonym. The legal basis for this data storage and use via the permanent cookie is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in our interest in being able to optimise our own website. You can object to this data collection and storage by Google Inc. via the permanent cookie at any time with future effect. To do so, you must install and use a browser plug-in that prevents the information collected by the cookie from being transmitted to Google Inc. The corresponding plugin can be accessed via the following link (the link is also included at the end of the chapter about “Cookies”). In this case, Google places a permanent “Do not track” cookie in your browser, meaning that the Google Analytics technology is no longer used.

Within the scope of data processing, your data will only be disclosed/transferred to the departments responsible for the web pages. If Google or other technical service providers access the data for support purposes, they will be subject to contracts for order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

6.2 Google Double Click

We also use the “Double Click by Google” retargeting technology on our Internet pages. The purpose of the Double Click service is to recognise previous visitors to the websites of Google Double Click advertisers (websites, apps and newsletters) to enable personalised advertising banners to be displayed. Google Double Click uses cookies for this purpose that do not allow personal identification of the visitors to the site.  The justified interest of WISAG Food Life GmbH & Co KG lies in its interest in being able to optimise its own website and to improve the success of advertising measures.

To do so, please go to this page and deactivate personalised advertising. Please note that these settings may not affect all devices and browsers. Further information can also be found at

As soon as you use the same browser to visit other websites on the Internet whose operators also use the Google Double Click service, the information from the permanent Google Double Click cookie is read by these website operators (the websites visited via the browser) so that advertising content adapted to your browsing behaviour can be displayed via banners.

6.3 Storage duration/criteria for determining the storage duration for cookies

Session cookies are deleted after the end of your Internet session (when the browser is closed). Permanent cookies remain stored in your browser until you delete them manually.

7. Encryption

We take technical and organisational security measures to protect your data from unwanted access as comprehensively as possible. In addition to securing the operating environment, we also use encryption procedures. The information you provide is transmitted in encrypted form using an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol and authenticated to prevent misuse of the data by third parties. You can recognise this in that the padlock symbol in the status bar of your browser is closed and the address line begins with “https…”.

8. Your rights as a data subject

Under 15 (1) GDPR you have the right to request information free of charge concerning your personal data stored by WISAG Group.

In addition, if the legal requirements are met, you have a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) of your personal data.

If the data processing is based on Art. 6 (1 (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object under Art. 21 GDPR. If you object to data processing, data will not be processed in the future unless the controller demonstrates compelling legitimate reasons for such processing that override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject.

If you have provided the processed data yourself, you have a right to data portability pursuant to section 20 GDPR.

If the data processing is based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1 (a) or Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR, you may revoke your consent at any time with future effect without affecting the lawfulness of any processing undertaken previously.

Please contact the data protection officer in writing or by email in any of the circumstances referred to above if you have any questions or in the event of complaints. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority. The relevant data protection supervisory authority is the competent authority in the state in which you live or in which the controller is based.
